Race Images

Covering the years from the beginning of the Civil Rights Movement and the March On Washington to the present, the Race DVD of the Mirror Images series introduces you to the people who lived these events and are still dealing with prejudice and discrimination in America.

Some of the people you'll see and hear are Ms. Charlye, a civil rights activist and close friend of Dr. Martin Luther King; Risco, an Assistant District Attorney; Bill, former Tuskeegee Airman and retired bank official; and Renee and Kyle, young people who still face the challenges of racial prejudice in modern America.

Racial profiling, career mobility, interracial marriage and blended families are just some of the topics discussed as each person invites you into their lives. Many of the topics will strike a chord with viewers who can empathize based on their own experiences.

Each, through their candid and personal insights, share the ongoing story of what it means to be Black in America, how their personal histories and upbringing have shaped their lives and perspectives, and what their hopes are for the future.
